Why the heck do we stick to a few!!!

Making a random person smile,
Is something totally worthwhile...

It can be getting a chocolate for a random child,
Or going with someone for a hike in the wild.

It might be reading out a letter from a loved on for someone old,
Or enjoying a fairytale with a child as the mystery would unfold...

It might be simply sharing their food, customs or tradition,
Because pampering a guest is a matter of great satisfaction...

It might involve some very strenuous physical labor,
Or  getting a call in the middle off the night from your neighbor...

There is so much happiness that one can spread,
But all we do is stick to our age-old tread...

There are a few who will often cause pain,
But we try and stick to them come snow or rain.

There are so many in the world that need you,
Then why the heck do we stick to a few!!!
