Why the heck do we stick to a few!!!

Making a random person smile,
Is something totally worthwhile...

It can be getting a chocolate for a random child,
Or going with someone for a hike in the wild.

It might be reading out a letter from a loved on for someone old,
Or enjoying a fairytale with a child as the mystery would unfold...

It might be simply sharing their food, customs or tradition,
Because pampering a guest is a matter of great satisfaction...

It might involve some very strenuous physical labor,
Or  getting a call in the middle off the night from your neighbor...

There is so much happiness that one can spread,
But all we do is stick to our age-old tread...

There are a few who will often cause pain,
But we try and stick to them come snow or rain.

There are so many in the world that need you,
Then why the heck do we stick to a few!!!

ती गेली तेव्हा

कवी ग्रेस आणि मंगेश पाडगावकर यांच्या प्रसिद्ध कवितांचं एक वेगळं रूप. मुळ कवितेतल्या दोन ओळी तश्याच ठेवून बाकीच्या ओळी लिहिल्या आहेत . 

ती गेली तेव्हा रिमझिम पाऊस निनादत होता,

झाला होता त्या सगळ्या भावनांचा चोथा… 

तिची होती फक्त जग जिंकण्याची आशा,

न उमजली तिला माझ्या प्रेमाची गोड भाषा… 

भातुकलीच्या खेळामधले राजा आणिक राणी,

सुरु होयच्या आधीच संपली ती कहाणी … 

अंगणात उभा मी, एकटा, ओलाचिंब,

पानांवरच्या थेंबावर अजूनही तिचेच प्रतिबिंब … 

"येईल का ती परत?" हा एकच विचार होता,

ती गेली तेव्हा रिमझिम, पाउस निनादात होत… 

Eat, Love, Pray...

Oh my dear friend, why do you feel low?
Is there something I can do to get back your glow?

Why are you deep inside a cocoon?
Feeling as dark as the new moon!

Why are you feeling so stressed?
Aren't you the one who always felt blessed?

You are the one who looks at the best side of everything
Then what is causing you this sudden sting?

All you need is eat, love, pray.
It will work wonders all the way.

And if there is any other matter,
I will be there for the random chatter...
