I Walk Alone...

You came here on your own,
You'll go back all alone.
But we are all selfish and we always want more!
Someone to share the highs and lows in our chore.

Heartbreaks and distances are a part of life,
They will always create the strife.
But why can't we realize the simple fact?
That nobody ever is bonded by a pact!

Everyone will be with you as long as they feel good,
And then they will digress for reasons initially not understood.
Then you realize its just the path to realize their dream,
Circumstances give directions to everyone's life stream.

Change is the only permanent thing in life it's said,
Ironically thats also the thing that we humans dread.
We want everything to be the same,
We forget we are all pawns in life's game.

Why is it so difficult to be happy on your own,
Smile with everyone but stifle the moan...
There is already so much pain around us,
Why do we never try to reduce this fuss?

I want this world to be full of smile,
If it takes I will walk the extra mile.
I came here on my own,
And on my journey I walk alone...

Empty Mind

Empty mind,
One of its kind,
Tough to find,
Coz life's a grind.

Tension, worry
Or you feel sorry.
Happy or sad
Or just a dream bad.

Excited, animated
Or simply fixated.
Whatever happens we just think,
Sometimes, even faster than a blink.

Why is it so tough to stay calm
And enjoy life which is such a charm.
Complicating things, does all the harm,
Like a swarm of locust destroying a farm.

Humans just get addicted to all the things bad
And then crib that life has gotten so sad.
Making it impossible to find the inner peace.
Just be unhappy till the end of the lease.

Put the dirty past behind,
Get away from the things that bind,
When you have become happy and kind,
Then you will have an empty mind.
